The availability of reliable and efficient turbulent flow simulation methods is highly beneficial for wind energy aerospace developments. However, existing suffer from significant shortcomings. In particular, the most promising (hybrid RANS-LES methods) face divergent developments over decades, there a waste resources opportunities.
